Buying or selling links are prohibited by Google. Any kind of ways to get unnatural link are mostly dubbed either as "black-hat" or "grey-hat" SEO practice.
But undoubtedly, link schemes are still existing through services on the net offered openly or in secret.
Oh WAIT!!! I did also take part in this.
Not only I am offering sponsored post as to fund this blog for future development, I did also buy links before for my own experiment.
One thing a backlink can do for your blog or site is how it helps you to get referred visitors.
If another site with huge traffics will put a live link into the contents, whether it is dofollow or nofollow link, you've got a chance to get new readers.
It doesn't even matter if Google's search engine ranking factors will not count the backlink at all, a link will still be valuable.
To build a site is to build audiences and link from other sites to yours is still beneficial.
Next, only Google knows how a site is defined as the one that used black-hat strategy in term of link building.
I know there are guidelines for this. But come on, using any kind of link schemes will not really harm your site at all as long as you're not building links aggressively in no time.
I mean, I have built links before that surely left footprints or whatever. Still, did anyone have experienced in getting penalty from Google just buy build around 10 links for a blog post?
No!
Call me a stupid. But if that is still fine, than why stop doing it for the other posts? Related to this, I have seen so many big sites especially the corporation ones that are doing this almost all the time.
To prove this, I have created an account at so-called influencer sites in Indonesia like Sosiago whom bloggers can also take part in selling links through their blogs.
Many corporation sites are offering sponsored posts to hundreds of blog in exchange to get money. Sometimes, the approved blogs will only need to copy-paste the content and then publish it.
Do they get penalized? NO!
I am not suggesting anyone to sell and buy links. But frankly speaking, that's how the reality is. The guidelines from Google about link schemes is clear and surely useful. But let's just be honest, white-hat link building strategy is not what the digital industry is looking for.
That will be an ideal and sustainable strategy, but it will mostly take forever for many sites on the net. It will be too slow to build a digital empire in such a fast-moving world even for the corporations.
Last but not the least, if link schemes are truly prohibited in any forms, why do sites that are offering relevant services aren't being deindexed since day 1? Google can do that but why it is holding back?
