As a sport and a way to spend holidays, we have known that surfing is amazing. It is leading us to experience more healthier travel idea since it has so many health benefits. And in general, it is also providing us some valuable social benefits including for the children whose many of them may still facing an issue on how to be part of social community.

For your information, I have been published an article about what is surf camp before. For short, it is a way to learn surfing more professionally since the new beginner or advanced surfers will be taught by professional surf instructors.

And surfing itself is not only a sport for adult people, kids and teens are also welcome.

To get to know what are some of social benefits for kids and teens when they will be in a surf camp, here are what I have been prepared.

1. Meet new surf friends and start getting to know each others

Surf camps are spreading in so many countries in the world and the operators are providing various package including for teens and kids only. It means that you have big chances to find a surf camp for your own children to learn surfing with only the other children in their own ages.

You can say that the only adult people that will be involved is only their surf instructor.

Therefore, in this surfing class, they will at least feel more comfortable since ages will not "intimidating" them.

In common, a surf class may containing around 5 or maybe up to 8 or 10 kids. So, they will at least spending their trip with some other kids from the other cities or even countries.

And that's the great moment for not only meet the new kids, but also getting to know each others since I am believing that the instructor will be the ice breaker between them.

2. Have fun together with new friends

Since surf camp is also a travel package, it then surely has its own itinerary that have been scheduled by the surf operator.

And we have known that most of the time, this is an outdoor activity that will also involving the visit of some destinations or simply some activities that will put the kids together in doing things out of the surfing activity.

I am pretty much sure that the surf instructor will not only introduce them about how to surf, but also have responsibility to make the kids experience the fun together as the other common travel packages.

Just take a look of what the surf camp is offering the kids and you will know that after the kids will getting to now each others, they will also have fun together. Make sure you are getting to know the surf camp itinerary as well or ask some questions to the operator about what you think will be best for your kids when choosing the surf camp you have found.

3. Helping each others while learning surfing

Your kids will now have new friends and start having fun together, let's get into the next phase or stage which is to help each others whether in other activities or in learning surfing itself.

One of the main social benefits in general is to help each others or being a useful human being for other people or environment and else.

And I think that it is not too much to say that there could be one of your new kids surf friend will not understand about the surfing itself and your kids is possible to help him or her. That's the social life is all about.

4. Be part of small or big surfing community

Meet and get to know the new friends as the first point above is not the end of your kids social life in surfing. You have to know that surfing itself have its own community spreading in the world.

Surfers are even have their own lifestyles and the surf operator may introduce them to the community as well.

At least, when your kids will finish the training, they will now have more confidence and may are interested to know more about surfing and may find the community themselves.

It can also be better if the travel operator will be registered the kids as part of small community they have built or other popular communities around. I mean, when your kids in a surf camp, the surf operator must be prepared their surf certificate, right?

And I think that the certificate is not only issued by the surf camp operator but also officially recognized by another surf community or organization.

So, make sure that you will also ask the surf operator about that since it may also a great helps for your kids to be part of the community that could beneficial for their social life as well.

5. Big step to be a here in life

Surf's subjects that are introduced by the instructor is important to know. Some are teaching the kids to know how to survive while surfing and some are introducing them on how to surf while still protecting the environment and more.

Through a surf camp, it is sure that your kids is possible to help each others one day or telling their friends about how they have been involving in preserving better environment through surfing.

And we need more generations including us to do that more often. So later, what's your kids have been got from a surf camp will not only good for them to have fun and get all the social benefits, but also a gate for more bright future in days to come.
