Of all I have been experienced and read, online dropshipping business will not let you to spend more money on production. It is requiring you to sell products with the prices you have been set yourself or defined by the owners or suppliers. So, many people are interested especially for those with less money on the pocket like me.Here are the pros why you may want to deal with this kind of business:
- No need money for item production.
- No need an employee since you can started it yourself.
- You can run this business anywhere since it is depending on internet.
- You don't have to deal with the distribution.
- Products will be updated regularly and most of the dropshippers have been told where to know about it (mostly, you can check the supplier's official site).
- No cost for renting a building.
- Dropshippers will get special prices for many kind of items so they can mark up the margin.
- As one of the passive income streams where you can spend holidays while still earn money online.
- Starting a new business in a minute since the registration process is as easy as creating new email address.
- You can started it even only using your phone with internet connection.
- You can start selling products in the first hour after registration.
2. The cons why I am no longer interested in running dropshipping business
Now, at first, all of the above pros or advantages may seemed tempting for everyone. But for those who are working behind the desk at the office, you may need to think twice about dropshipping. Why?Here are the reasons:
- Most of the dropshipping niches are those in competitive market. It could also means that there have been big costumers, but to be honest, what's your strategy to stand out of the crowd?
- Most of the time, you will read how to market the items and you have known that making a certain website for that will really be on top recommendation. The thing is, creating one is can be new thing for many so it will consume more of your time as well as your money.
- You will need to develop the site and optimize it. For example, you will be introduced on how to get quality backlinks. Not to mention that you have to write the contents for the products themselves and much more.
- It encourages you to embrace the digital advertising. It may also a good thing, you will learn about Facebook Ads or Google Ads. But, surely you may need to spend money on that as well. The challenge is, you may lost more than you think. I am not being pessimistic here, it is the reality or could be that I am failed in it.
- You think that you are helping yourself. But, you are also spending more money and time to developing other businesses without certainty. If you win, you get money, if not, you are the only one who lose while the business itself will keep on going without you.
- Your competitors are too many. The dropshipped products will be sold by the official business team, the other dropshippers as well as its main business competitors.
- The products can be ran out of stocks right before you had a chance to sell one.
