How can it be a problem for showing the better image quality in every posts you are going to publish?

1. Image size does matter, especially when it comes to your site indexing and ranking

No matter how fast your internet connection is, the other part of the world are not experiencing the same. In my country alone, Indonesia, there still many cities that are struggling in finding 3G connection on our phones. Can you believe that?

Meanwhile, years ago, Google had been announced about Mobile-first Indexing where this search engine will use the mobile version of your page for indexing and ranking so people like me with poor internet connection on my phone can still find an information I am looking for.

It is also means that your blog or site should have been using the responsive web design, no matter what.

See?

Now you must have been realized that if you want to start thinking about Search Engine Optimization (SEO), you will need to mind your image size.

Even though you have been using cloud hosting, CDN for your WordPress, etc to help your page load speed faster, the very first step to your image optimization for your post is to reduces its size.

Moreover, your site may contains many ads scripts that will contribute in adding more times to load.

So, if you have ever been thinking before about why your site is not getting the better rank on Google for certain keywords though you have been building the powerful backlinks for your site, now you've got a reason among the others.

2. The larger your image sizes are, your posts are possible to mean nothing

Image size as way to help delivering your post messages
No one love to wait longer while seeing the loading icon no matter how beautiful it created just to read an article. Even me with poor internet connection on phone can tolerates it. I mean, just to find an information, I do possible to close the tab of the longer page load and find another site.

Your images may are beautiful, mesmerizing objects, while your descriptive texts are also mind-blowing. But, if the page they are published is not fast enough, then many other will say goodbye in a second.

I may not using my time wisely in life, but when it comes to the site page speed, as if many of us in a rush.

That's why if you are considering your site posts are important, then thinking about the less image size is also vital to help delivering your point of view.

3. Chance to lose many opportunities you are struggling for

If your visitors will close your site immediately because of its long page speed caused by larger image size, the you will lost some opportunities, which are:
  1. Lost potential visitors.
  2. Lost pageviews that can reduce your site bounce rate.
  3. Lost the social media share oportunity.
The above 3 things are important as they are among the other important SEO factors to help your site in getting the better rank on search engines.

What if you are going to lost hundreds of visitor in a day? Don't you think that they are actually the reasons why you are building a site?!

Blog articles contain images receive more views, more shares on social media, more appealing, more engaging, and so on. But they will mean nothing if your page will really hard to open. So, I do really need to remind you that your image sizes are way much matter than you think.
